Promoting Careers in the Dental Profession 2008
January–February

Celebrate National Dental Careers Month and participate in National Groundhog Job Shadow Day beginning February 1, 2008. Information available at National Groundhog Job Shadow Day page.

Include dentistry career information as part of the Give Kids A Smile® (GKAS) campaign for the February 1, 2008 event. Information available on the Give Kids A Smile page.

Join the ADA in congratulating the certified dental laboratory technicians in your area on their 25th and 35th anniversaries of certification. Information available on the Dental Team Resource and Activities page.

March–April

Celebrate Dental Assistants Recognition Week, March 2–8, 2008. Information available on the Dental Team Resource and Activities page.

July–August

Participate in the Youth Mentoring Program-offer to share your profession with a young person (K-16) interested in dentistry. Information available on the Career Mentoring page.

September

Present Careers in the Dental Profession presentation at a local high school career event utilizing the Something to Smile About... resources.
